Natasha rolled out of her bed, stretching her deliciously sore body. She was thoroughly sated sexually, and she had fed enough in Lust and from her berserkers to keep her body nourished for a while. She shifted off the bed, stepping over the bodies that littered her floor, and made her way to the trap door that was just behind one of her mirrors. She shifted the mirror to the right, and a door opened leading to a spiral staircase that would take her to the sublevels of Lust. She didn’t bother with any light, her eyes would adjust to the darkness. She also didn’t bother with a robe to shield her from the damp air because her body was warm to the touch.

Her bare feet made no noise as she took the steps down to the place where she held all her secrets and treasures. Once her feet hit the cold concrete, she snapped her fingers twice, and a bright light illuminated the room, revealing cages like the ones in which she had held Desmond and Elijah as well as jars filled with poison and books that housed some of the oldest spells she’d come across.

She wasn’t down here for any of that, though. She kept something specific here and only ever used it when she needed to. When Natasha absorbed the powers from her prey, not all of them would stay with her. There were some she only ever got to experience while she fed and fucked, and as soon as she came they were gone, just a fleeting memory like her orgasm, and the power she needed was in one of the many jars she had kept down here.

Natasha couldn’t pinpoint when it happened, and a part of her wondered if she always had the ability to absorb the power of others. She hadn’t met another succubus like her. Any she ever came in contact with fed to nourish themselves—sometimes draining their prey completely of their essence, but they never took anything else.

Natasha walked farther into the room until she reached a wood table that had a jar filled with liquid and the pair of the prettiest blue eyes she ever saw. She glanced up at all of her possessions and felt alone all of a sudden. She packed out Lust every night and her bed was never empty, but beyond that, the only things she held close to her resided in this room.

“Aw, the great Natasha has a crack in her armor. All alone in a world you created for yourself. It’s not like you to show yourself pity. You must have suffered a loss to be down here feeling sorry for yourself.”

Natasha inwardly flinched at the sound of the voice, not wanting to give the person behind it the satisfaction of knowing they had hit their mark. The loss of Elijah hurt her because someone was stupid enough to break in right under her nose. She’d been arrogant in thinking she was feared enough that no one would try anything stupid and hadn’t set up any security measures.
